sometimes looking up from your feet as you walk makes you wonder

sometimes not

Series 8

Landscape is the genre of photography I began to delve into to learn the basics of photography. it’s slow, calm and allows you to think about what you will do with your camera. it allows you to take in your surroundings and process what you like and the fundamentals of a good photo. I watched hundreds of James popsys YouTube videos (A very impressive landscape photographer) and found it to be the best way to learn without any other aspects getting in the way. street photography is very subjective as to what is a good photo, there are obviously rules so to speak that you follow in street, but a lot of the time breaking them often makes a better shot. that’s why street was hard to understand and is for me, so much more challenging than landscape.

This month is a bunch of landscapes from the summer

Series 7

A big shift in style in this series. From December to the current month, I have had my eyes opened to street photography. By people like Rueben Radding, Faizal Westcott, and 7th Era. Through photography YouTubers and others like Rueben are pure photographers, they have all taught me the basics and more through videos and their work.

Street photography feels the most interesting and more my style right now. It’s exciting. The interactions and rush you get when finding a good composition and having to go way out of your comfort zone to capture it is what I love about street. It opens your eyes to things you would normally miss. I feel like I look and take things in much more than I used to.
